Insect pollinated Flowers are normally large and showy. Even if they are small they occur in clusters, which make them conspicuous .Wind pollinated flowers on the other had are small inconspicuous. They might not be colored and are often green. The anthers in an insect pollinated flower ate small and remain attached within the flower firmly attached to their filament. However in wind pollinated flowers anthers are large, the protrude out of the flowers and are loosely attached to the filament so that they are easily moved by the wind In Insect pollinated flowers pollen grains are sticky or spiny and produced in smaller quantities. Wind pollinated flowers have pollen grains which are smooth and light and also are produced in large quantities to compensate the loss in transit Insect pollinated flowers are normally scented and produce nectar while the wind pollinated plant flowers are not scented and do not produce nectar.
